Disable scrolling function in tour

by Omni VR » Thu Aug 02, 2018 12:30 pm

I would like the scrolling function in a tour to be disabled. We integrate our tours in websites, but when the mouse is on the tour and you try to scroll down the webpage it isn't possible, you just zoom in or out. We tried to disable the zooming function, but it still didn't help to scroll the page down. So on desktop we just want the tour to react on click, not on scroll.

I saw this is possible on the following website: https://www.vandervalkhotelenschede.nl/ ... fortkamer/

Can you explain how to do this?

Thank you!

Simone

Hi Simone,

there is a "mwheel"-parameter documented here: https://krpano.com/docu/html/#mwheel
You can set it in the tours' index.html file as additional setting to the "embedpano"-function, for example:
Code: Select all
[..]
     ,bgcolor:"#000000"
     ,focus: false
     ,mwheel: false
[..]

Note there are 2 such functions, one for the "standard" and one for VR-mode.

Best wishes,
Michael

Thank you Michael, this works!!

We are looking for a possibility to try and make this work from the iframe code, I don't know if you have suggestions for this?

If this would not be possible, do you think it would be possible to create a plugin for this? So maybe this line of text about the 'mwheel: false' will automatically be added to the html if you would add the plugin to the project? Just to make it a bit easier and not having to adjust the html file every time.

Hi Simone,

as this is a setting of the embedscript and not the KRPano viewer there is no way to do it from "inside", meaning any code that is run on tourstart for example.
But you can use a tool to monitor changes to the "index.html"-file and automatically execute a script to insert this parameter into the "embedpano"-function when the tour gets regenerated.
"entr" is a simple tool available on Linux, there are certainly others depending on the platform you are using.

Best wishes,
Michael
