Is there a lightbox feature for video hotspots?

by CraigD » Mon Feb 26, 2018 11:13 pm

Hello,

I am trying to add several 2D video Hotspots to a 360 pano in panotour pro. I would like to have the video come to the center in a lightbox when clicked on. I do not want to use the web video plugin and because I want to load them directly to the pano project.

Does this make sense, and is it possible?

Thanks,
Craig

I haven't done it using lightbox, but colorbox which is a free alternative, and as it is an IFRAME you can include whatever content you want like images, PDFs or videos, just make sure to use the correct URL to avoid cross-origin-denial issues.

Here is what you would need in the "<your-project.>html"-file, i think it could be easily adapted to lighbox as well:

Code: Select all
   <link rel="stylesheet" href="<path-to-directory>/colorbox.css" />
   <script src="<path-to-directory>/jquery.colorbox.js"></script>

   <a id="ColorboxAnchor" class="iframe"></a>

   <script type="text/javascript">
   function ShowVID(url) {
      $(".iframe").colorbox({iframe:true, width:"70%", height:"70%" });
      $("#ColorboxAnchor").attr("href", url );
      $("#ColorboxAnchor")[0].click();
   }
   </script>

In your tour you can then call the Javascript function for example like this, executed via the "add custom code"-action that you can download from here: http://www.kolor.com/wiki-en/action/view/Panotour_-_Advanced_-_Extra_Plugins
Installation instructions are on the top of that page, as this is not a plugin it needs to go into the "ctions"-directory, not the "plugins"-directory.

Code: Select all
js(ShowVID(https://www.youtube.com/embed/<your-video-code>););

To not have to manually edit the "<your-project.>html"-file, which gets overwritten with every tour build, you can turn that into a plugin, feel free to drop me a note if you would like to have a quote for such service.

Thanks 360-compunics-com-ni,

I'll give this a try. I appreciate the quick response.

Thanks again,
Craig
