Open a website or a description by tour-wide textlink

by FREIZEITMEDIA » Tue Aug 08, 2017 3:55 pm

Hi everyone,
I would like to open a website or a description via a simple text link. The text link (like the logo) should be visible in each panorama. Does anyone have an idea how to solve this?

Regards
Hendrik

Are you using the tour languages feature to change languages?

Well the links for buttons are set in the _messages.xml too so you can set a different link for each language in each language file.

If it's the button image you need to change with each language as well, we'll need to get a bit more creative. I'll only use two languages in my example but you can apply these steps to more languages than just the two.
  1. Set up your first url button, this is your default tour language button. Set the icon and it's link. Add the language it's used for in the button name. (For me, the default is English so I'm going to call my button URL Button EN)
  2. Now right click on the button in the workspace, and click on duplicate. Change the language in the name to your new one (French for this next one, so the name is URL Button FR). Change it's icon and url.
  3. Now create your first language button, set it up and give it the action of switching to either language. Then click on + to add another action, and this action will be to hide the other language button. Then + again, and display the language button of this language. For example you are setting up the English button, give it the actions of loading the English messages file, Hide URL Button FR and Show URL Button EN.
  4. Duplicate this button and switch the languages around.

For every extra language you add, you will have one more hide URL Button LANGUAGE action for each button.

Okay this works fine without the button of the second language. It's not invisible at start of the tour. Is there a way to hide the button and only show the button of the first language. Both buttons are PNGs with transparent backgrounds.

Oh yes of course I'm sorry I forgot about that part.

To hide URL Button FR on start, download the Call Actions On Tour Events (CAOTE) plugin and install it. http://www.kolor.com/wiki-en/action/vie ... ra_Plugins

After restarting PTP to add it to your plugin, add an instance of CAOTE to your tour.
Select "React when the tour starts, after introduction effects" and as the action, Hide URL Button FR.
