by virtualdiorama » Mon May 29, 2017 12:07 pm

Im thinking of buying the autogarrows plugin, it looks really good on paper, does anyone have some experience of using it?
Im using Nikon d800 and have a gps for it but gps doenst work indoors, do someone have a great low cost idea of how to get indoor positioning?

Best regards

I've given it a few quick tries and it seemed to work well. Though I don't have the latest version.

However for adding the GPS coordinates, you can place them manually in PTP or other software but retrieving them for each pano is another issue that I don't have a solution for. Perhaps you could base yourself on the floorplan of the house/building?
Not certain how this would work on several stories.

You could/should try contacting the author of the plugin, he might have some answers for you.

If you are looking for a way to put your GPS data into the indoor panos, the free "exiftool" may be of interest.
You can write GPS data to multiple files as follows:
Code: Select all
exiftool -GPSLongitudeRef=E -GPSLongitude=139.7513889 -GPSLatitudeRef=N -GPSLatitude=35.685 *.jpg

Example is for a Linux system, WIN and/or MAC may vary.
You can also apply GPS data from a GPS track log file, a valuable source of info is: http://www.sno.phy.queensu.ca/~phil/exiftool/geotag.html
