by sifranc » Tue Jan 13, 2015 3:56 pm

Hi,
I'd like to change the order of the icons in my classical control bar and to slow down the manuel rotation speed of my panos but cannot find the ways to do these 2 things. =(
Thanks for your help.

Control bar button order can be edited into the XML code only.

Hi.. In the main XML code you will find this line...

<autorotate horizon="0.000000" tofov="90.000000" waittime="1" speed="5"/>

Thanks Destiny... but regarding the orders of the icons in the classical control bar, I had a look at the xml file (the skin file) as Benjamin told me, and still, I can't figure out how to do it.

Hi.. Sorry, I do not know how to do it. I have tried many times. Using PTP V1.8 the position could be set using the X and Y, which was easy.. I even made my own Grid Template to guide me where to position the menu buttons, but this new PTP V2 has been written by software engineers for software engineers..

I have not been able to create any new menu themes at all.. I am stuck with how to do it.. I thought it might be in the tmpl file, but it does not seem to be.. One would have expected that the xml would have similar X/Y positions as V1.8 but it does not seem to be the case. You can edit the physical position of your entire menu via the X/Y within the skin xml, and size of the buttons..

This code is for the menu buttons which can be move on the X/Y but all grouped together..

<style name="DestinyTheme1_btn_style"
keep="true"
edge="right"
align="right"
x="0" y="0"
width="40" height="40"
crop="0|0|60|60"
onovercrop="0|60|60|60"
ondowncrop="0|120|60|60"
onhover="showTooltip(bottom, DestinyTheme1menuTooltipStyle, bottom);"
onout="hideTooltip();"
/>

This code is for the menu background area which can also be move on the X/Y..

<layer name="DestinyTheme1_menu_bg"
keep="true"
type="container"
zorder="0"
width="40"
height="40"
align="bottom"
x="0" y="10"
maskchildren="true"
rotate="0"
visible="false"
>

If you use the iControl Bar Menu you have more options. You can change the size of the menu buttons and make a plug_info.xml to build the same each time.. But as for the actual X/Y position.. I do not know how to edit this.

Do you mean the speed of the rotation when you press the "move Left" and "Move right" buttons of the control bar ?

Yes Gérald, that's what I mean, I want to slow down the movement when pressing the "move Left" and "Move right" buttons (up and down too) of the control bar. I'd like to slow it down the speed by half.
And for the icons position, I find it too bad you can do less in PTP 2 than you could in PTP 1.8.
I wanted to change the icons, I had to go: edit - open templates system directory - resources - plugins - classicControlBar
and change one by one the original png files with my new ones.
I think I remember doing it a much easier way in an older version of PTP.
Anyway, thanks a lot for your help !

Hey... You do not need to edit the System Directory graphics. A huge step up from V1.8 is the fact you an copy that entire Menu, save it into your User Directory located in the Kolor Documents folder. Then rename the xml at the top and it will then appear in PTP GUI next time you open it. You can then call it in anytime and keep the default set without editing it.. If you edit the System Folder, when there is an update, it will get overridden.. But if its in your User Directory custom stuff will be their after any updates...

It should all work fine but... Not all templates or custom stuff will work after an update. The most important would be to test any HTML Templates since Kolor keeps changing the html structure, and very important, Kolor Area related to the Website Box, Video Box and Map Box, since the way the JS is called in might change..

Thanks Destiny, it should save me a lot of time, especially when updating PTP.
I'll try that very soon. ;)
