using Kodak SP-360

by gabriel » Tue Sep 02, 2014 8:13 pm

Hi all, just to know if someone already try this camera ( here is a link: http://www.01net.com/fiche-produit/avis-redac-17620/camescopes-kodak-pixpro-sp360/ - sorry, it's in french ;-)
i was wondering if only two of these camera can be used for a full sphere ? and of course if APG can work with that.
Thank you.

Bonjour, est ce que quelqu'un a déjà essayé la camera KODAK SP-360 ? Avec sa couverture, pourrait-on en utilise deux pour couvrir la sphere complete? Est-ce qu'elle est reconnue par APG? Merci.

I don't think so - it appears that the FOV is about 170 degrees so there would be no overlap between just two images images opposed by 180 degrees.

Dont think 2 will work. 3 yes. Look at http://www.pocket-lint.com/news/128039- ... d-hands-on the Tripod hole and Lens Direktion... If You Place 2 than no overlapping will Take Place. Than using more than One Cam near placed objects will Show distortions behause no npp compliant Position seems to bei possible...

No doubt that APG & AVP will perfectly work with that camera, you just need to make sure that you have a sufficient overlapping between the cameras.

For now I haven't seen any official specs or good review confirming that 2 of these are enough to cover the entire sphere.

Cheers,

Martin
