Correcting Mistake - Convert 4K to 2.7K (4:3) for Stitching?

by Crewsouth » Fri May 19, 2017 7:06 pm

Hello. I used a 360 Hero/Rize (10 camera) mount for a shoot. One of the cameras was set to 4K (16:9)/24fps, instead of 2.7K (4:3)/30fps. I think I can convert the frame rate without issue, but I'm more concerned about conforming the 16:9 to 4:3. From my limited research, it looks like the 4:3 captures more of the image and pixels on the top and bottom of the frame vs 4K 16:9. Does anyone have experience with this issue? Can I correct the 4K image with cropping and distortion? Or is the shoot a bust?

I have this similar issue with only 1 of the 10 cameras being 16x9. Can one 16:9 video be cropped and manipulated to fit in with the other 9 cameras (all 4:3)?
