I'd like to create a End credits for my (3D)360 videos with graphic and text. I'd like to stitch this "graphic layer" with alpha in order to superimpose it later in afterfx.
Is it possible to do that? If so, how could I do it?
If your "end credits" are going to be static you can create a PNG with the content you want the user to see and duplicate it several times over the horizon of the sphere.
To do so, duplicate your flat credits 3 or 4 times, create a panorama into APG with these images, manually place them at 0, +90 , +180 and + 270° (or 0, +120, + 240° with 3 images), choose a spherical projection, force the full sphere into the crop tool tab and export the full sphere in PNG.
Then you can superimpose it with your 360 video in post prod.
I imported my end credits (png files) and tried to stitch them, but autopano giga didn't allow me to do so. Of course it didn't find any panorama, but is there any way to "force" the panorama manually?
And then delete the links and manually place your images.
If you want to do animated credits you can follow the same workflow but using a video instead of a png file, then stitch several copies of your video using AVP. But you'll loose the alpha channel.
