CUDA processing on Linux Autopano Video

by candreacchio » Fri Aug 04, 2017 6:24 am

Hey,

I was wondering if CUDA processing for Autopano Video was on the roadmap for linux based machines, or will it be limited to windows machines?

Thanks
Carlo

Hi Carlo,

Since AVP Linux is not officially distributed and we do not provide any support on it, it is very unlikely that some significant efforts will be made to support CUDA on it. Though we might consider activating the pipeline on Linux at some point if it is easily adaptable from the efforts we made for supporting it on other OSs.

Well for sure, we are still focused on optimizing the CUDA pipeline on Windows (that is clearly a feature of AVP 3.0), generalizing those optimizations to MacOs might be where we'll focus our next efforts.

Best,

Claire

Thanks for the reply ClaireM.

We are also having trouble enabling CUDA on windows 7 machines with GTX 1080s. Only GLSL mode is available. Is it a limited to windows 10 only or will win7 be also available.
