VR Reframe plugin crashing premierecc2015

by iamconan » Fri Jul 15, 2016 3:58 pm

Installed latest Premiere2015.3 last week and also installed beta of the AVP 2.5 latest build.

Now all clips which had previously had GoPro VR Reframe effects in them, the plugIn is no longer recognised and when i try to drop the plug in back onto a clip it crashes premiere with following error message.

On MacPro running ElCapitan 10.11.2

Any help on this greatly appreciated.

Can someone advise on best practice for uninstalling all Kolor software on mac osx10.11 so i can try a fresh install to see if that works.

Thanks

Hello,

First you should try a fresh install by following this documentation : http://www.kolor.com/wiki-en/action/view/AutopanoVideo_Solutions and then reboot your mac.

The latest AVP2.5 beta 3 has just been released, you should use this one for your fresh install.

Regarding Premiere plugins, Premiere crashes both with Horizon and Reframe or only with Reframe?

Regards

I have the exact same problem. Premiere crashes with both reframe and horizon.

Trying this doesn't remove the two plugins for me. http://www.kolor.com/wiki-en/action/vie ... _Solutions

From the link provided i do not see a guide to totally uninstalling APV, just restoring default settings. Just dragging APV/APG to trash does not remove these plugins.

Could you provide steps to removing these plug ins from Premiere.

Thanks

Hi,

Sorry the information was missing.

These plugins should be located here: /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Plug-ins/7.0/MediaCore/GoPro

You first have to delete manually "GoProVRHorizon.bundle" and "GoProVRReframe.bundle" and then reinstall the latest AVP 2.5 to get them back

I don't appear to have a Plug-Ins folder within the Common folder on this machine. Anywhere else they could be?

The previous path is located from your hard drive, usually named Macintosh HD (see screenshot enclosed if needed). If it doesn't appear from your finder you can display it by going to Finder->Preferences->Sidebar and then check Hard disks in Devices section

I did this.

"You first have to delete manually "GoProVRHorizon.bundle" and "GoProVRReframe.bundle" and then reinstall the latest AVP 2.5 to get them back"

Open Premiere and verify the plugin is gone. After reinstalling the latest AVP 2.5, I get the same error listed in the first post.

Any other ideas?

Hi,

Can you please remove the two plugins (as before in /Library/Application Support/Adobe/Common/Plug-ins/7.0/MediaCore/GoPro) and install a previous version of AVP 2.5 (beta 2 or beta 1) to test if they work with a particular version ? You can find former versions here: http://download.kolor.com/avp/beta/history

Jerome,

Same result using the other version. I started looking at other plugins and found that it was in combination with the Mettle plugin was causing the crash. After removing the Mettle (trial version) plugin, the GoPro VR plugins worked with the latest beta.

Thanks for your help!
