Kolor Eyes 1.6 crashing

Hi

Kolor Eyes has started to crash on my Surface Pro 3 last week, I downloaded the latest version and installed it but it still becomes unresponsive whenever I open a file.
Those same files worked until last week on the old player.

What has changed on your end?
My setup is the same as previous, the video has been rendered with Kolor Video Pro and recorded on GoPro Freedom 360 setup.

Can you please advise how to even trouble shoot?
the software looks fine until I actually open a video, then nothing happens at all any more - it has been sitting there with a not responding message over night now.

Hello,

Nothing has changed as we stopped the development after the version 1.6.2. If that worked before, there no reason it does not work anymore. This can be due to an OS update, a new software, codecs installed? Any change regarding the video backend? Have you tried with other videos or with the latest version of the player, GoPro VR Player?

Kind regards,
Olviier

Where can I get GoPro VR player please?

I have had no other changes on my computer - curious enough, I have one high performance computer here as well which it worked on before, and now it no longer does.

are there other players you can recommend that work well with your outputs?

thanks for helping out!

Hello,

You can download it directly from the kolor.com home page, DOWNLOAD link at the top right corner.

Let me know.

Cheers,
Olivier

Brilliant, Olivier - that worked and the software runs well, thanks so much.

One question on the new software - I have used Adobe Premiere to add titles to my 360 Degree Video, and they used to display perfectly straigh in Kolor Eyes - while now in the new software they appear rounded when viewing the video on a PC - which is understandable - but it made more sense before. Is that a rendering issue? can that be changed or is there an option to switch which I have not considered yet?

Thanks for your help!

Hi Michaela,

I don't think that is a rendering issue, but maybe a different output projection. Have you tried another mode and/or to zoom in/out? http://www.kolor.com/wiki-en/action/vie ... references
