Just an update which maybe of use to others. I originally uploaded the panorama to my website using the trial version and saw the trial version message, fair enough. I then registered and reuploaded the panorama and still saw the trial version message. The problem was Cloudflare buffering, I use Clo...

I'm not sure what's happened ??? I was seeing a horizontal black bar across the screen with the Error message mentioned above. Now I see the panorama as well, that has totally thrown me. It appears that the problem sorted itself out some how. Sorry for wasting your time but thank you for the respons...

The arca swiss clamp is shown in the ebay pictures, it is a significant upgrade from the camera clamp that is supplied as standard on the Epic pro. The quick release plate for the clamp is provided and it fits any camera, including the 5D MkII which is the camera I've been using. Original documentat...

FS Nokia N800

I'm in the process of developing my own motorised system and the Nokia N800 I was using with the Merlin head is no longer required so I'm selling it. Rather than putting it up on ebay immediately I thought I would offer it on the forum first. The system includes the Nokia N800 in excellent condition...

Cemaes Bay Gigapan

1st play with a Gigapan Epic Pro driving a Canon 7D and Canon 100mm lens shooting Cemaes Bay harbour on Anglesey, N. Wales. 296 images makes up this small 2Gb panorama which is 133,000 pixels wide. Processed in Gigapan stitcher which seems to make a pretty good job of it. http://farm5.static.flickr....

... The current Merlin is able to track at sidireal speed (one revolution per day) and that's slower than you need for other than astronomy. ... For tracking sunsets/sunrises you need a lot less than sideral rate something like 10-12 degrees/hour is needed rather than the nominal 15 degrees/hr for ...

Perhaps they would even give you the firmware code to modify in that case. Or build one with integrated bluetooth, better dimens...

It sounds like the merlin socket is a mono audio socket which would automatically connect the ground and ring i.e the ground and focus on a stereo plug?

The merlin only outputs a single pulse to trigger the camera shutter circuit. Normally IS/focus is activated by a pulse on the focus line of most/all cameras i.e the half press position and then a signal pulse on the shutter circuit fires the camera. The merlin can't provide both signals unfortuneat...

The 2.1.19 release in online, with the bug corrections of Panoduino plugin. Windows version installs fine. First run fails because it can't find the papywizard.conf file but runs fine after that. Hi! I suggest to move in many small steps and to avoid a wideangle. use the longest lens that fits the distance. The more steps you make the lesser perspektive (z-axis) you´ll have to cope with. A linear pano better should avoid perspektive and prefer "flat" views. Take care always to keep a 90° a...

Best way to produce a long panorama

Hi folks, I've been asked to produce an interactive linear pano of a turbine hall at the nuclear power station I work at. The hall containing the four turbines is approximately 300 metres long by 40 metres wide. The pano will be a scan along the side of the turbines so will cover the full length of ...

That is not true - there are quite a few DSLRs with bodies small enough to allow camera/lens to be positioned at the NPP without the need to modify the crown. But equally there are many more which would require some sort of modification to the standard head to allow camera/lens to be positioned at ...
