Re: Bring back the old radar!

Destiny wrote:Sorry, I really still don't understand the issue.. How can V1.8 find North...

In 1.8 there was no need to know where is north. I could point the radar to a recognisable item and rotate the pano to the same item.
The compass-solution is a big step backwards in usability !

Re: Map-trouble

Problem solved. I'm not sure how to name the problem: bug or user error. What I did was to geolocalise a flat pano in addition to the main pano, a sphere. It was straightforward to do so, no warnings. When I zeroed latitude and longitude for this flat pano, like in the image below, the problem disap...

Map-trouble

paris.jpg I don't mind Paris, but it's the wrong focus for my pano. I have geolocated the two images to 62.36N 5.83E. I have even checked the XML <scene name="pano17" latitude="62.3674" longitude="5.83631" heading="16.7999999999998" But when I push the map-ic...

Re: Bring back the old radar!

Well that comes down you when you shot your Tour to take a compass with you. I would suggest you shoot your first shot pointing north so that then become your reference point... This would be the same with V1.8 too.. This is what I have done in the past.. Destiny... That's what it's all about ! In ...

Re: Bring back the old radar!

I agree very much !

The compass is a bad idea for outdoors also. There is no way to get it right without resorting to external maps. With the 1.8 radar there was no need for thirdparty tools.

Re: Google is collecting tiles !

I posted the issue on the krpano forum and Klaus pointed me to the problem: listing of directories was allowed (by error) Google had done what they always do, traverse all folders available, including the tiles folders I have turned listing off and guess that will keep Google at a distance for now l...

Re: Thumbnail order

You are right, the box for thumbnails in the controlbar was ticked. Thanks.

I didn't notice this possibility and I didn't tick it by will, maybe by accident.
I thought the thumbnail bar(s) was the place to put the thumbnails.

The thumbnail stack is shown below: header @top header background @top thumbnail stack @center left maps @right logo png @bottom left more maps png @bottom center controlbar @bottom right nowhere is there a plugin for thumbnails horisontally at bottom. Re: Thumbnail order

Next thumbnail problem:
I've reversed the order and pushed build.
Now I get the thumbnails as I wish, but I get an unwanted ghost in the left lower corner.
I'm not able to remove the ghost.
I've even started anew from my preset, but the ghost is still there.
A pita !

then it should not be necessary make a feature request for functions already in 1.8 ?

Re: Thumbnail order

Why do you want the initial pano to appear lowest in the list of thumbnails? The intuitive thing to do when you come to this pano, have seen the initial scene, is to click on the first thumbnail in the stack on the left. As is in 2.0 this will be the same pano you are watching ! Not smart. Smarter ...

Re: Thumbnail order

But...one wonders why you might wish to? No wonder, its easy. I want the user to choose a pano other than the default, too. Example: http://www.rundskuer.no/panotour/loen_via_ferrata/virtualtour.html The initial pano is the last pano in the stack of thumbnails. Tell me how to do this in PTP 2.0 leifs

Re: Thumbnail order

I have managed to make the thumbnails ordered as I like, but there is still a pita. In 1.8 I could choose what pano to start the tour independent of the order of the thumbnails. Now it seems like the first thumbnail pano is the start pano. I can't find a way to make the second thumbnail pano the sta...

If you click on a pano then the Panorama properties are displayed on the right side. click on a pano -> pano proterties click on a group -> group properties click on nothing (!) -> tour properties self-explanatory ? it's in the "documentation", but not the click-on-nothing trick. In retro...

Re: Thumbnail order

You set the Order in the Project properties and the Group properties in the Tour section. Found it. Had to fiddle abit first, it was not obvious: I went to the Tour tab, but there was no "order-section" there. After some time I accidentally unmarked a pano, no pano marked, then it appeare...

Re: Google is collecting tiles !

The robot works like a client, it interprets the (java)code. What I described earlier was server based interpretation, this is client-based. In panotour the html calls for the virtualtour.js (the krpano HTML5 viewer), which then calls for the appropriate jpg's and present them. If google is to get ...

Re: Google is collecting tiles !

The code you give is the code as read by your webserver from disk. The webserver translates it into explicit code and write that to the client. Sure ? When I look at the source of the html i've got from the server there is no filename.jpg there. Where is it written on the client, so that google-ima...

Re: Google is collecting tiles !

So isn't the conclusion then that they are ignoring your robot.txt and get the names from the xml-files which are refered to in the html-files? They are grabbing the XML's. But there are no explicit filenames to grab there. The filenames are produced from the XML's. This is how the name of the thou...

Re: Google is collecting tiles !

They collect them because they found a link to them, that's webcrawling like most search engine do this. Nothing out of the ordinary. If you want to stop it you can place a robots.txt file in the topdirectory of your webserver. There are no links to the tiles directly. They are jpg's ok, but the na...
