Re: APV 3 and APG 4 edit function fail

Hi,

on the black frame issue, have look at the post from SoccerTom (that is me). I experienced similar problems but there seems a way around when you have APG (see last posts from Oliver and SoccerTom)

Cheers, SoccerTom

Re: Black frame when rendering with GPGPU (cuda)

Dear Oliver, thank you for your response. I now understand that - when you use my .kava file, you can reproduce my "black frame error" - when you recreate the project than you don´t find the error. Comparing the workflow, I noted that you edit the reference window in APG (Autopano Giga). I...

Re: Black frame when rendering with GPGPU (cuda)

Dear Oliver, okay, so you were successful ... mmmhh. As far as the Nvidia card driver is concerned, I have recently updated it to 390.77. The black frame was not affected by this update. But I may try with the very newest version. I have, unfortunately, no other computer to test. For the codec packs...

Re: Black frame when rendering with GPGPU (cuda)

Hi Oliver, I shortend the footage to only 17 seconds but the files are still 0.6GB. I tried to upload them but I failed. Do you have a drop box or something onto which I can upload the data or any other idea?

Re: Black frame when rendering with GPGPU (cuda)

Dear Oliver, I finally made it to install the newest NVIDIA driver (see NVIDIA System Info) to follow your recommendation. A screenshoto of the input videos is shown here (Input Videos) and a screenshot of the Cuda preview here (Preview Cuda). As you can see, it all looks great. The settings for ren...

Re: Black frame when rendering with GPGPU (cuda)

Hi Oliver,
it is the same footage that I used in my first tests and which I shared with you already.
I mean, is CUDA rendering working for you with two stitched videos?

Re: Black frame when rendering with GPGPU (cuda)

Hi, I just downloaded and installed the latest version of AVP and tried again to process files as before hopeing that the issue is now solved. Unfortunately, also the newest version of APV fails to work. Any idea when the software will work as it should?

Re: avp 3 vs avp 2.6.2

Hi Graham, I am also using a 2 cam set up and I upgraded from 2.6.2 to 3.0 for the sole reason to profit from the substantially faster rendering using CUDA. Unfortunately, however, this does not work at present (see my post "Black frame when rendering with GPGPU (CUDA)" of 4th Sept. 2017)....

Re: Black frame when rendering with GPGPU (cuda)

So, now the results with your test footing: 1. All cameras, no Authoring: worked fine (see attachment) 2. Only cameras 4 and 5, no Authoring: Black frame (see attachment) 3. Only cameras 4 and 5, Authoring to have full screen (looked perfect on Cuda preview): Black frame (see attachment) So to me, t...

Re: Black frame when rendering with GPGPU (cuda)

Hi, I used the same project and returned it to standard spherical projection "without CUDA", "with CUDA" and "with CUDA in combination with screen ratio 4:3". There was, however, only a minor improvement. The video is no longer squeezed together, but there is still a bl...

Re: Black frame when rendering with GPGPU (cuda)

Dear Oliver, - I am using Autopano Video 3.0.0 RC2 - Nvidia driver is up to date (05/2017, version 22.21.13.8205) - Yes, it occurs with all footages (2.7K 4:3). I am using two cameras. - The render settings are shown in the attached image. The same occurs when rendering UHDTV. - In the authoring set...

Black frame when rendering with GPGPU (cuda)

Hi, for faster rendering I activated in the settings my graphics card to use CUDA (GeForce GTX 965M). By doing so, the rendering is substantially faster. The results, however, are poor. On the same project, when using the CPU only or when using GLSL engine (not CUDA), the rendering presents the sitc...

Re: Autopano 3.0 is SLOWER than 2.5 or 2.6 [SOLVED]

Great success!!! I got frame rates beyond 20 and the rendering time dropped to about 57 minutes which is a true performance improvment! Thank you for you help DJW. =D =D =D

Autopano 3.0 is SLOWER than 2.5 or 2.6 [SOLVED]

Hi, I recently ordered the new version of Autopano Pro Video 3.0. The main reason was that this new version was said to be about 3 times better in rendering. So I expected that rendering would only take about 30% of the time and hence be substantially FASTER than the earlier versions of Autopano Pro...

Re: Encoder cannot initialise [SOLVED]

Thank you for your reply. I finally got it to work by re-installing the software again. I don´t know what went wrong the first time but re-installing the software a second time did the trick. - So, the issue is solved.

Thank´s Thomas

Encoder cannot initialise [SOLVED]

A few days ago I used Autopano video without problems but now, suddenly, when I want to render my video files, I get the error message "Encoder cannot initialise". In the forum there is already one thread in which the problem was solved by changing the file names and the directory name. In...

"Import all GoPros"

I understand that merely connecting the GoPros to the computer is no longer sufficient for using the function "Import all GoPros". From the instructions it would seem, however, that using a USB-hub for several (micro) SD cards would still work. i) Is this correct? ii) If so, is there any U...

Is the merger intelligent?

Hi, when using several cameras for longer footage, obviously, each camera will generate a series of videos that need to be merged prior to stitiching. I am now wondering whether I can put all videos of the three cameras I am using together into the merger and whether the merger will merge the corres...

How to select sections of video for rendering

Hi, I am using trial AVP video pro for stitching football videos whereby I record the matches using three cameras on a tripod. The procedure works quite well. I would like to cameras record the entire match and remove the section of the break right in the middle of the video prior to rendering. Is t...
