Where can I access Go Pro VR Player 2.3.1 400?  [SOLVED]

by Vittoria » Sat Apr 21, 2018 11:18 pm

Hi guys.

I am new here so don't know if this has been asked before but I have been searching for Go Pro VR player 2.3.1 400 without any success.
Me and a few friends of mine have created an immersive VR-experience that for some reason only seems to work with this version. I have it on my desktop computer as I downloaded it a while back but I seem to have deleted the setup-file so I am unable to download it to my laptop. We are getting quite alot of showcases all around in the country I reside in and it's getting quite hard to take my desktop computer along with my Oculus everywhere I go.

I'd really appreciate all the help I can get here.

Hi Destiny.

Many thanks for the reply and I did check the webpage. Unfortunately the version of GoPro Vr Player that I am looking for is nowhere in that list. of downloads.

Hi there,

You'll find the links to download previous GoPro VR Player versions here: http://download.kolor.com/ked/stable/history

I hope that helps.

Hi again.

I just downloaded that version. However my project is very weird still in this computer. Instead of getting a full scene with both cameras merged into one scene as before I am getting the cameras separately. The left camera is on top and the right is at the bottom. I've never faced these issues on my desktop computer and it's the exact same files I've used in both. Is there any way to fix this?

Hello,

It seems that you changed the display to stereoscopy mode. Open Preferences, General settings tab and select INPUT STEREOSCOPY to Auto or NONE

Hope this can help.

Best,
Olivier

Hello,

Do you have any HMD connected to that PC? If so, can you disconnect it and test? Also, do you have that issue on that system only?

Best,
Olivier

Hi.

I have tried it both with and without it and it's still the same. It works with and without it on my desktop computer but it does not work on my laptop at all and it's a VR-ready laptop. My oculus and everything works perfectly fine but the project doesn't.

Hello,

I do not understand what could be wrong on that specific computer? Did it work before? You have the same issue with the latest version of GPVRP if you select Auto or None as well?

Hi.

You and me both. No I recently bought this laptop so I hadn't tried it before at all but I've never had any issues with it on my desktop computer. Our project for some reason only seems to work with the 2.3.1 version. The latest one just creates alot of mess on the screen and you can't see the project at all on the screen or in the Oculus.

Hello,

I talked with our engineer which develops GPVRP but he does not have any idea.
Can you try with GPVRP 3 and sets to OFF Head-mounted display SDK in Controllers tab. Restart the app and test.
Do you also have that issue with all your videos?
Finally, can you add some screenshots of the error with GPVRP 231 and 3.0?
Can you send your video?

Cheers,
Olivier

Hi.

I just tried with the GPVRP 3 the way you said it but it's still the same. I only have three videos all part of one project and it's the same with all of them.

Here are three screenshots from the project. Do you have an email or so where I can send it to? the files are quite large and I'd rather not put them here.

all the best,
Fitore

The one in the middle is how it's actually supposed to look like. It's from 2.3.1 version on my desktop computer, The first one is from 2.3.1 on my laptop and the third one is on GPVRP 3.0. That image is the same on both laptop and desktop computer

Hello,

Thanks for the file!
I do not have any issue with GPVRP3, but in order to display the video correctly, go to Preferences and change Video decoding to Windows Media Foundation as there is a bug with VLC backend (restart the app). Then, select Input type : Equirectangular and Output projection: GoPro VR. Finally, Input stereoscopie: Sida A/Side B.
What is the camera used and how do you stitch the videos? If you can send your original footages as well... ;)

Kind regards,
Olivier
