Plugin: DeviceCheck

by 360-compunics-com-ni » Tue Dec 12, 2017 7:31 pm

There is a new PanotourPro plugin available that lets you select on which device types (Desktop, Tablet and/or Mobile) you want to hide (or display) other PTP plugins. Using multiple instances of this plugin you can configure different device specific layouts within one tour.

The DeviceCheck plugin works with the following PTP plugins:
    Simple Button
    Toggle Button
    Panospecific Simple Button
    Panospecific Toggle Button
    Description
    Title
    Logo
    PanoramaMenu
    Picture
    Floorplan
    PanotourMaps
Call actions on tour events (CAOTE)
The DeviceCheck plugin also works with the following PTP controlbars:
    classicControlBar
    dockedThumbsControlBar
    iControlBar
    urbanControlBar
    D-padControlBar
    roundCornerBar
    CirclesControlBar
    SansControlBar

Please note the "Known issues/restrictions" information that is part of the plugin documentation available at: http://dev.compunics.com.ni/
The price of this plugin is 44€ (including tax) payable via Paypal.

Edit:
V1.1 2017-12-14 Added support for panoramaMenu plugin
EDIT 2018-01-03: Version 1.1 has been tested successfully with PTP V2.5.9
EDIT 2018-01-08: Version 1.2 is out, now the 'Call actions on tour events (CAOTE)'-plugin can be disabled on device types

I need coloured areas, headers, footers and progress bars.

If you are planning to include these, can you please update here when these are added?

I just picked up DeviceCheck because of the addition of these new features. I really appreciate the update Michael.

I have to say... This *SHOULD* be a built in feature of Panotour. Every plugin in Panotour should have these desktop/tablet/mobile check boxes. It's mind boggling why they have not made it easier to create mobile interfaces. It's a huge hassle and waste of time for it's users to create separate mobile versions and then hand code it in after every build and I've been waiting for this feature to be implemented for years!

I'm doing 8 interfaces for a picky client right now who constantly wants tiny changes.

This plugin has saved me a huge amount of time and headaches making separate mobile versions every time they want a change.

Thanks so much for your hard work developing it!!!

I have released version 1.6 of the DeviceCheck plugin.

It now supports the PTP Splashscreen-feature, meaning that you can set a different graphic file for every device type (desktop/tablet/mobile). The remaining configuration settings as the overlay, time of auto-closure and so on are taken from the general configuration section, they stay the same for all device types.

The plugin does not support to deactivate the Splashscreen on some device type while activate it on another type.

As usual, exisiting DeviceCheck-users will be notified via mail and get the update for free on request.
