Stereoscopic 3D

by Flakey 1977 » Mon Oct 30, 2017 12:48 am

I am struggling to get the stereoscopic 3D to work. I've done the coding as per the instructions but to no avail? Anyone know how to get the left and right images to work in true stereoscopic 3D?

Hello and welcome to the forum,

The steps are fairly simple, though you have to make sure you edit the right file (which was my mistake in the webinar, but it was getting late).

If your tour is online or you can share your images I can help you set it up.

Thanks Annis. Do you have an email address I can mail you on. I suspect it is the process of where to import the second picture to that is confusing me?

Is there a documentation for real stereoscopic tours?

And is there a solution to view a stereoscopic tour in a smooth way? I have the gear vr and I can view smooth only single panoramas (also stereoscopic) in the 360°-Samsung-App. But a whole tour in a browser is not smooth.
Are there experiences if a tour goes fine with an oculus solution for example?

Depends of the hardware with krpano viewer. Stereoscopic requires much memory because it's not a simple copy of the memory of the first eye but a real new one rendering.

And is there a tested device with tested hardware that is able to play really smooth?

As stereoscopic images are not part of the offered solution it's not validated into our tests, so I've no real answer.
I'll try asap to see if I've issue with devices GearVR and Oculus Go.

Then is there a tested solution for complete tours without stereoscopic view? This is also very shaky in Samsung gear VR.
