hello,
I`m facing strange phenomena if I try to place the nadir pic into the panorama.
I`m using fullframe Nikon D700 with Tokina 10mm fishlense. Making 4 photos around and one for the nadir. Without Nadir, no problem! The overlapping areas are so huge... I do not understand why the software APP has problems with the nadir?
I also try by reduse the radius of the nadir... makes it even more worse.
Before I have made my jobs with Olympus E-30 and 16mm fishlense (5pics around and one nadir and one zenit!) and that worked much better!
Does anyome has any idea?
thanks, Api

When you have such behavior, it often says that the nadir is not at the nodal point making the rest of the panorama worth. Is that your case ?

hi,
lets give an example.
As you see at the 6 test pictures (reduced in size!) enought sharpness, contrast and large overlapping zones.
I have made thes pictures with Fullframe Nikon d700, Tokina 10-17mm (12mm on this pictures which means more than 180 degrees!) and the result is very bad. APP behaviour in finding control points is very strange. areas where its very obvious doesn`t find...
Even when I set control points manualy, doesn`t work really!
any idea, any experience?

I downloaded the images above...
autopano and panotour - everything pretty standard settings, manually I only did add image properties Nikon/D700/10mm & fisheye
detection and finished...
did render it with multilevel 0
no singe correction like CPs,colorcorrection...
I did add/load the nadir extra image like the others... I did not add the image as nadirimage...
