Video embedding in iBook widget

by electroniceye » Wed Apr 18, 2012 2:29 pm

Hello all,

I've embedded an .mp4 video on a virtual tour widget for iBooks. Unfortunately, iBooks Author keeps on saying the video format isn't supported.
I've modified the xml file to run the videoplayer.js like I do for regular "online" tour w/o any success so far.

Does anyone know if this is an iBooks limitation or if any workaround exists.

Thanks for the heads up
Regards
-David

Bruno,
I gave a try and exported using the “iPod touch & iPhone 3GS.” Unfortunately it creates a .m4v video which is compliant with ibooks html widget video format but not when embedded in the PTP widget...

Any thoughts?
Thanks again

I'm having exactly the same problem. Even exporting via quicktime for m4v and iphone version.

Any update on this issue ? Have anyone successfully inserted a video inside a virtual tour widget in iBook ?

Thank you
Toni

Hello Toni,

I did not get a chance to proceed to further testing so far. I'll let you know once I find sth suitable for all.

Is there any solution for video inside our panotour now?
Especially for more than 1 video hotspot :|

Or is there any way we can link the hotspot to a page inside the ibook?
