Eric_222

I didn't try this new beta ... Why aren't we informed when there is an new version ?
I buy my software in July 2010, and I don't understand why we have to use "beta" version to solve such problems.
I loose a lot of time to find solution in forums.(no information offline with the software !)

Is this new beta a french version ? What about "preferences" for using one or multi core with this new version ? (Windows 7 64 bits)

Thanks

For some reason Adrien only announced it on the English part of the APT sub-forum. Perhaps it's only an English version. I don't know.

Beta just means that software is evolving fairly rapidly at present, it doesn't mean it's not usable. Of course each new beta fixes issues that have arisen in earlier betas so it's best to keep abreast of new beta releases.

Kolor now plans to make APT available as a separate product rather than continuing to bundle it with Autopano Giga at which point I believe they may even plan to give it a different name (PanoTour?) - in the meantime hang in there because it gets better with every release.

Another way of looking at it is that APT has probably saved you a lot of time compared to doing it all via hand coding XML?

Kolor has said that because the software is evloving quite rapidly they have chosen to devote their efforts to development of APT rather than forever trying to keep up with documenting a rapidly evolving product.

The best way to resolve issue/questions is to ask on the forum I think.

I'm sorry but I don't know - I suggest you try and install it and see.

I believe that issue is supposed to be fixed - again try it and see.

Thank you for fast answer.
New beta is Ok for solving my problem. Thanks
But, sorry, I don't agree with some elements of your post: when I buy a software or a product, I'd like the "manufacturer" indicates if the product has limits with such or such configuration, give explains for install, parameters of preferences, etc ...

Creating a simple panorama that produces result with "blacks lines" has nothing to do with earning time because no writing xml ... It's only having a product that can't do the minimum we are waiting for ....

I'm OK for not having offline 1000 pages or more of tutorials and help, but between nothing and 1000 pages, I think there are intermediate solutions. APT isn't a freeware.

A minimum could be asking the customer for giving his mail and some information, for having news by newsletter or something like that ...

I hope APT-Kolor will read this post and will give me advices for putting the right preferences for this new beta and my configuration.

Cordially

You'll find all there is for now on this page:

Bonjour,

Cordialement,

Adrien
