I am not able to "type" hebrew words as my keyboard is an ASCII one, but I succeeded to copy-paste hebrew words without freeze in Panotour (see picture below)

To be able to fix this issue can you give us more detail about it ?
1/ On which platform are you running PTP ? MacOS, Windows or Linux ?
2/ Does PTP freeze whatever the field you enter the hebrew title ?
For example, does it freeze if you change the name of a plugin, or if you change the tooltip of a spot ?
3/ Does a copy/paste freeze PTP too ?

Hi, thank you so much for the quick reply

..but I succeeded to copy-paste hebrew words without freeze in Panotour (see picture below)

I also find this temporery solution to type in Word and copy paste to PTP, but typing in directly to PTP will make it freeze.

1/ On which platform are you running PTP ? MacOS, Windows or Linux ?
Windows 7 64 bit

2/ Does PTP freeze whatever the field you enter the hebrew title ?
For example, does it freeze if you change the name of a plugin, or if you change the tooltip of a spot ?
Yes, its freeze when changing group or panorama title and also when changing the name of a plugin

3/ Does a copy/paste freeze PTP too ?
No

Thanks

I finally succeeded to change my keyboard language.
I did a test with hebrew characters as well as cyrillic and arabic ones.
I did not face any freeze.

As the only thing that PTP does when you type is to change the above displayed title, and as it does this when you end or pause the typing, may be the issue comes from a bad handling by PTP of your typing speed.
Are you a fast typer or a slow typer ?
I ask this just to be able to reproduce the issue. It will help us to fix the bug if we face it too.

Do you have same bug if you enter english titles ?

Ho?!
Interesting.
It freezes when you enter only one character, but not when you paste a full text.
Inside PTP, both are treated the same way and should behave identically.

Another question, is Hebrew the default language and locale used on your machine ?
I mean, is your Windows interface displayed in Hebrew?

Do you have Autopano ?
If yes, if you open Autopano, double click on left column, and try to enter an hebrew character in the field displaying the path of the folder to analyse, does it freeze too ?
