Plugins set up earlier disappear!

by gcg1992 » Mon Mar 06, 2017 2:36 am

Hi,

I recently built a project which consists of 30 panoramas with PTP and saved the .kpt file on my desktop. The next day when I woke up and reopened my project, all the plugins which I have previously been working on were gone! But the panoramas and hotspots can still be seen in my workspace. Anyone knows why it happened and how to solve my problem? Help needed...

Thanks,
Chenguang

If you did not create some backup project files, either by your own, or by the appropriate parameter in the Preferences window, and if your current project file does not contain those informations anymore, no sadly there is no way to retrieve your previous work on the Style tab. You'll need to re-add all the plugins and spot styles.

If your project file still contains this information, then maybe we can get back to previous state.
Can you send us your project file (just the kpt) ?

Are/were there any 3rd party plugins in your project?
Is this an old project you created with a previous version of PTP ? If yes, do you remember the version of PTP?
Did the software crash when you were saving?
Did your computer restart while you were saving?
Were you using several different versions of PTP at the same time?

Hi, I have already redone my project =( , but still don't know why I lost all the plugin settings (this is not the first time I met this problem). In this project, I used the "g-arrows" plugin and "sidebar plugin" but then deleted them before the final build. I don't remember if this one was first created with PTP version 2.55, but I recently made an update to version 2.57. PTP did not crash at all and I clicked the save button several times last night. I did not turn off my laptop and I only use one version of PTP (currently version 2.57).

If you have time, please have a look in the attachment for the kpt file.

Thanks,
Chenguang

No, it is the kpt which I lost all the links and plugins. What do you mean backup feature?

In Panotour's settings you can activate a backup feature which will create a backup of your kpt every time you save. If this happens again at least you won't have lost everything, you would be able to use a backup instead. http://www.kolor.com/wiki-en/action/vie ... ces#Backup
