You've edited your panorama with software that isn't "aware" that the two edges of your panorama are joined and share the same properties, which causes this visible line.

To my knowledge, there aren't any 360 panorama editors out there.

The issue is getting the seam into the middle of the image away from the two extreme edges

I understood Photoshop has the facility to reorientate a 360 image in this way so the ordinary healing tools could be used and then move the image back to its previous orientation

I don#t own Photoshop and without this facility it can still be done (I've done it using paint.net) but its very very fiddly !

OK. Then, LR cannot process 360-pano for some reason.

Does anybody has a clue which tool of LR makes this difference between left/right and should be avoided? (of course, we do not talk about lens corrections here)

Problem (almost) solved.

This line appears when
* you use gradient filters
AND
* filter line is not horizontal, which means that left side of the filter does not meet right one when applied on the 360 sphere.

Now the problem... How to make gradient filter absolutely horizontal?
Doing it by mouse, it is impossible to make it perfectly horizontal.
There is no angle setting to be typed in.

Ideas?

Try holding your Shift Key down while dragging the tool..

Yes, that's helps.
Also, i solved this by exporting Preset into file and tweaking that file (it is a text one).

BUT here is the fresh example:
# just exported from Autopano
# in LR,changed contrast, clarity, vibrance, saturation - nothing big, right?
# here is the vertical line: https://goo.gl/photos/pdBBRNSZz1TihjRq9

Any ideas why?
PS There is another question why Autopano exports ugly colorless B&W panos if original pictures where in DNG from DJI Phantom 4. That's why i had to tweak at least params above.

i have the same problem and after some test, i actually modify all the shots before stiching.
Each photo in LR before stiching and the line will disappear.

Sorry for my english too

How do you modify them?
What do you do?

PS It means that it is a Autopano bug, but not postpossessing in LR or smth else

Having done about 100 experiments with panos, i can say that:
* 100% horizontal graduate filter helps but does guarantee anything
* guarantee of no line in the sky in LR is: NO graduate filter + NO Clarity filter + NO Highlights adjusting. Probably, on different examples the set is different.

Photoshop did not create line in the sky even after Clarity filter. But Lr is much handy and convenient. Photoshop is not an option here (i think)

Here is more accurate:

guarantee of no line in the sky in LR is: NO Clarity filter + NO Highlights adjusting

NO clarity and NO highlights in both regular settings and filter settings.

BUT you can have highlights edited in "Tone Curve" section and it does not affect "line in the sky" (LITS), Tone Curve does not create LITS.

At the end of the day, you could use any filter from LR, and edit the offset lines out in Photoshop.. I realise there will be slight difference but I do not feel it really matters since the entire image is being manipulated anyway in LR..
