I have tried to follow the help page and to edit the html page on how to share on facebook. (http://www.kolor.com/wiki-en/action/vie ... Publishing) on "Only the thumbnail and information with an external link to the virtual tour".
When I share on facebook the thumbnail still dosn't appear. I would appreciate a second look at my html code to see what is missing (I am no programmer and havn't got a clue!). /thanks
If you share the actual link to the tours, a thumbnail will show. If you want a thumbnail to show for the page on your website, you need to edit that page (not the virtual tour) to add the missing tags and thumbnail. If you need assistance you will need to see with your web developer, as we do not provide web development services or support.
Probably not the solution to this problem but I have had postings to Facebook where everything looked OK but the thumbnail didn't show
I discovered that the reason is that there is a minimum size for thumbnails on Facebook and I always make mine greater than 400 x 70 pixels in all directions now
I'm not really sure what the actual limit is but doing this seems to work OK
You can resize the existing thumbnail.jpg using irfanview or similar and just insert this into the web host area without having to upload the whole tour
The direct link works! I also tried to erase the facebook cache as I have an updated file, but got the following message - The 'og:image' property should be explicitly provided, even if a value can be inferred from other tags? Do you know how I can fix this? My link is https://s3.eu-central-1.amazonaws.com/d ... sktop.html
Ok, it worked now on facebook! :-) If people enter my website and the tour from there and pres the share button, how can I get the thumbnail in. Was that a webdeveloper that is needed?
