Export each camera individually?

by TomVR » Sun Jan 10, 2016 7:39 pm

For example doing more advanced stitching in other programs like after effects or any vfx work it would be great if there was an option to set autopano video to export each video independently with the color matching.

This would also make it easier to work with layers of the video that overlap.

Rotoing tools are much much more advanced then the marker based stitching too, which means you can really refine how the cameras overlap.

just registered to request this feature. similar to what PTGUI does when you render out a layered psd file. it's would be great to have each video rendered out preferable with color tweak added as an option and with a mask. then i can import into ae and tweak the stitch further as needed.

The lack of this feature is killing me at the moment.
Independent access to each layer is an essential feature.

Autopano giga already supports openEXR. Why not drop the useless Tiff rendering option and allow us to render a multichannel EXR image sequence? Main channel being the full stitched comp and every subsequent channel being each camera in the stitch isolated with alpha channel.

To really be great there should also be an option to render out a "directors view" rectilinear pass of a comp that contains metadata of the Pan/yaw/tilt that can then be reimported into AVP and reprojected onto the latlong comp.

The way I work with other artists is I make a virtual camera that tracks around the latlong to render out areas as regular rectilinear footage. This normal footage can be easily handled by normal VFX artists for clean up or paint work or whatever else. When I get their finished plates back I then project their plate back onto the latlong through the same virtual camera.

Now for me to do all this requires extremely heavy scripts and $20,000 (that's the correct number of zeros) worth of compositing and vfx software. I need to do this it this way because I work with clients that demand a flawless stitch and don't care how much it costs.

Bringing this sort of functionality to AVP means instead someone with AVP, APG, premiere and and after effects can do 80% of what I can do. for 10% of the cost.

there is a way to do it, although tedious and it lacks alpha channel.
solo check the visibility of the camera you want to render in APG.
back in AVP only that camera shows up. in black background(no alpha). Send to render.
-do the same for all other cameras.. yeah boring..:P specially if you have a 16 camera rig.

Well AVP 2.5 beta 2 is rendering black. Not much use for that. Not even Mp4's.
alpha version rendered really weird tiled prores.

Any feedback for AVP 2.5 has to be posted here: viewforum.php?f=124
Without feedback, we can't find the bugs to fix them.
