I saw this floating text in a Facebook 360 pano

by MetroRuss » Thu Jul 07, 2016 4:09 am

Does anyone know how it is done (it looks awesome), is it done in photoshop directly onto the pano image ? Is it a feature in other VR software platforms? I tried embedding a png file it does work but it has its cons.

Any help is appreciated!

The text was either edited into the equirectangular panorama directly, or the panorama was cut into cube faces to add the text without deformations then turned back into a panorama.

I'm not aware of any image editor that recognises a equirectangular image in input.
