I upgraded to the latest Autopano Video Pro 64bit version and now my render frame rate is 0.58 fps with the fastest settings (asynch GPU processing). Using synch GPU processing or CPU processing is slightly worse at around 0.48 fps.
With the previous version of AVP 64bit, I would render at 3.5 fps - 5.7 fps.
Have other people seen this as well? Could it be that stabilization being used during rendering regardless of if you try to use it?
Please suggest a benchmark I can try to confirm that it is the software and not my computer causing the issue. Also, I would like a copy of the previous version of AVP, since the files on my computer were lost after the upgrade.
I reinstalled the previous version version of AVP that I had (v2.0.1) and rendered the same project in v2.2.0 and v2.0.1. The project had been created in v2.2.0.
I took screenshots to record the rendering rates in each version and you can see that rendering was 10.5 times faster in the older version!
Why do you think this is the case and how can it be corrected?
We did some tests, and unfortunately, we did not reproduced this issue yet.
To track down this issue, it would be good to send your .kava project file, and give us the specs of your input videos (resolution and framerate).
You can also try some of the beta versions of Autopano 2.2 (intermediate versions between 2.0 and 2.2) to find which version caused this regession on your computer. These versions can be found here: http://download.kolor.com/avp/beta/history
As a guess, you could start with the 2.2.0 beta 3 version... As the problem is only GPU, a check of your graphics driver version is always a good start (just download latest ones from nvidia website).
Hope we could find a solution for that! Regards, Thomas
