Panotour 2.2 IE8

by kingo » Thu Aug 07, 2014 11:59 am

Hi,

I am experiencing a problem with IE8 and my panotour. On initial load it is ok, the sliding floorplan opens and operation is normal. However upon selecting another pano and closing then opening the sliding floorplan IE stops and the balloon pops up saying that there was an error and now reopening it in compatibility mode. The problem with compatibility mode is when you select the dropdown from floorplan(multiple floorplans) the Z depth is incorrect and the floorplan list opens behind the floorplan graphic.

Has anyone experienced this ? Appreciate any assistance.. I have a project of over 350 panos which is waiting to be launched.. but the customer still uses IE8 xp.... =( =( =(

I guess it's not easy to persuade him/her that IE8 and XP are no longer supported by Microsoft and get him/her to switch browsers if not also OS?

The problem lies with the IE8 browser I think. Is your client viewing using the Flash viewer or the HTML5 viewer?

Any chance the client might switch browsers - or also install a second browser - although sticking with XP OS?

Do you experience any problems with tours viewed with, say, Firefox on XP?

Hi kingo,

Is it possible to make a test with this new attached file ?

Replace the JS file into YourTourdata/graphics/KolorFloorPlan/ directory.

Thanks for your feedback.

Hi Benji,

Thanks for your file.

I uploaded it, however I am not at work to check.. Were you able to identify the problem ? can you recheck it now ?

Thanks

After verification it seems linked to the Area animation. Avoid floorplan animations on open/close with IE8. A patch will be done into next release if confirmed.
