stereoscopic video stitching/ viewing

by kapnobatai » Tue May 27, 2014 12:44 pm

Hello all, I intend to shoot next month a stereoscopic photo spherical panorama and I thought to use the same setup for a stereoscopic spherical video panorama, max 30 seconds each take. If let's stay I will successfully stitch the final 2 360° videos, left and right eye, which are the solutions for viewing the final stereoscopic result with the Oculus Rift? I will use a modified NN5, 2 NEX-5N in portrait mode, IPD 6.5 to 8-9mm possible. Thank you for the read.
EDIT: I copied this from the bug&discussion thread, where I posted this by mistake

VR player can do it. But you have to first create an over under or side by side movie of the two eyes.

Hi kapnobatai,

You wouldn't happen to be from poland working on a project in germany with wind farms?

Anyways, you can do that, but the when capturing each directional view, you'll have a time sync issue as 30seconds one 180 directional view and another 30seconds the other directional view will be obviously off sync by 30secs at the stitching. But perhaps you don't care... I recommend testing it out before pitching or promising content.

VR video is nifty.

Kolor Eyes Desktop, iOS and android, have all support for 3D content ( side by side or over/under ).
