issues when virtuall tour seen on ipad

Hello,

When I see my vt on ipad I've noticed these three issues:
1) some of the panoramas don't load fully, there are black areas
2) wherever there is a video then a black screen with a play button appears and it does not disappear when the video plays and
3) the pdf files do not load fully and only the first six pages are visible no matter how many pages the pdf file has

I attach some screenshots, too.

Hi Thomas!

Missing parts of a pano on iPad/Androids can happen due to a bad connection or the capacity of your device. If there was something really missing on your server you would get an error-message. (at least that is with PTP 1.8 and KRPano)

The missing video might have other reasons - i suggest to check all the settings.

Do you have an url for test ?
You're using Mono or Multi resolution panoramas (see build screen)

For Video play button I'll have a look.
It's a hotspot with action display video ?

For PDF, into the advanced options of the PDF viewer, you can set the max width height of the display part. So If your PDF navigation is vertical update the value to set a high height value to be able to view all pages on devices.

I have same problem here with PTPv2.0.0 64bit multiresolution :

It works fine on Samsung S3 but not on Ipads...

I've tested on iPad2 on iOS6 without your issues. Do you have clean cache of the Safari browser ?

Yes, I did clean cash...
Every tours that I built since v2 RC shows same troubles.
The fact is that my Ipad doesn't ask me to proceed to an update. So for people who bought same device than me, this tour does not work ?

With cleaned cache it works ?
If the tour has been visualized and is into the cache the new version can be display with issues, yes it's possible.

First test :
If you add this code into your main xml file what happens ?

Code: Select all

<memory maxmem="20"  devices="iOS" />

So memory max used will be 20MB rather than the default 40MB.

Second test :
If you add this code multiresthreshold="-0.5" into the main xml file of your tour into all the <image> tags what happens ?

<image ... multiresthreshold="-0.5" ...>...</image>

This will load only one level into multi-res images.

So <memory maxmem="20" devices="iOS" /> seems not to change anything.
And <image type="CUBE" multires="true" baseindex="0" multiresthreshold="-0.5" tilesize="512"> doesn't change anything either...

When I try <image type="CUBE" multires="false" baseindex="0" tilesize="512">, The picture changes a little bit :
