Hi

Does anyone recommend any ffmpeg GUIs
I'm having difficulty using ffmpeg in DOS
Have goggled it a bit one that was recommended on a site was Avanti
Also read about microvideo convertor on the KR Pano site is that similar program

Further thought is adobe media encoder a suitable alternative to ffmpeg

AME is not a suitable alternative, in my opinion, it creates sub-par mp4, with far more compression artifacts at a higher rate than necessary.
on the mac side, http://iffmpeg.com is working nicely.
for windows, you could try http://www.squared5.com/svideo/mpeg-streamclip-win.html (not exactly a full fledged ffmeg gui), but avanti seems to be a favorite in the forums, so I'd go with that, or maybe winFF.

Will use avanti.
I had installed fmpeg OK but couldn't access it . Might be related to the directory its on.
In the meantime had been using Quick time to join videos that span multi clips as it has a pass through function.
Also read on this forum of handbrake being used is that necessary if you have avanti.
There are three purposes I require it for:
Joining clips
Converting files after correction in After Effects
And optimizing videos for web.
Re the last I had thought that the video out of APV would already be optimized for web
Any idea what the best settings are if it needs converting.
