Koloreyes 1.0 on Windows Vista

by guachinver » Tue Nov 05, 2013 10:39 am

I downloaded and installed Koloreyes 1.0, I downloaded a sample of 360 "balloons". When I boot , Koloreyes tells me drag the video to your window, I do but nothing happens.
O.S. Windows Vista.
What am I doing wrong?

It depends on the backend video codec you have installed or not.
2 tests to do:
- switch from directshow to WMF or reverse, restart, try again with the video
- be sure to the in directshow and install a codec pack

Sorry, I do not know how to switch from Directshow to WMF or reverse, nor if I'm in Directshow mode. Help me Please!.

Windows media player play two videos downloaded from Kolor.
kolor-balloon-icare-full-HD.mp4
kolor-fighter-aircraft-4k.mp4
Both are played in 360x180 equirectangular format.
(Not sure if that contributes something about codecs)

You can switch from DirectShow to WMF in the menu (bottom-right corner of the app window).
Take a look to the documentation : http://www.autopano.net/wiki-en/action/ ... o_decoding

Thank you very much, after switching between Directshow and WMF has made Koloreyes work, now works seamlessly with Directshow or WMF.

I am kind of dissapointed that the current version of Kolor Eyes (1.5.1) does not support Windows Vista.

Thank to this topic, I learned that older versions of Kolor Eyes are working with Windows Vista. So I managed to find Kolor Eyes version 1.0.0 and install it, and it works just fine on Windows Vista.

While the 1.5.1 version of Kolor Eyes gives me error "The procedure entry point K32EnumProcessModules could not be located in the dynamic link library KERNEL32.dll".
Which is actually easy to fix by developers: http://blogs.msdn.com/b/vcblog/archive/ ... round.aspx

And if you don't want to fix this, you could just post the links to the older versions of Kolor Eyes that works with XP/Vista on the site.

If anyone interested, you can download Kolor Eyes 1.0.0 here: http://softplanet.com/download/Kolor-Eyes

Hello,

From the Kolor home page, top right corner, just click the Download menu, then you have a "Previous versions" tab.
The current versions of our software support the current operating systems, we can't guarantee they will work on such old ones like Vista.

Kind regards,
Olivier

Wow, thank you, that's nice! :)
I will find the best version that will work on Vista.
