Rectilinear Thumbnail

Got some great idea or a feature request? Post it here and discuss it. The most requested concepts are usually implemented, as Autopano Tour is very community driven.

Rectilinear Thumbnail

by Toni Fong » Thu Oct 31, 2013 6:38 pm

PTP 2.0 should have the option to export rectilinear thumbnails.
Equirectangular thumbnails are great for us panographers but not usual for most people.

Small thumbnails for equirectangular images are kind of useless because it's so small.
Rectilinear thumbnails is a request for most of my clients.

Right now I need to export a rectilinear image via Pano2vr and them save inside the PTP tour folder for each panorama. But we could save a lot of time and effort if it's possible to make it inside PTP 2.0.

What people think about it ?

Thanks
Toni

Just click on the the default thumbnail image in the panorama properties to be prompted to select an alternative thumbnail image.

Thank you. I didn't knew this new option. I've tried to save a new thumbnail this way. Indeed the image of the PTP interface changes, but the final virtual tour thumbnails don't. Double checked everything, extension is .jpg, even tried saving inside virtual tour folder. I'm already checking with the last built tour button.

Please do you have any idea what I am doing wrong ?

Thank you !!

Try to clear the browser cache or access via the "View last build tour" (green) button.
Are you under Windows or MacOS ?
