Aliasing/jagged edges/render quality?

by goshiota » Sat Oct 26, 2013 10:32 am

Hi All,

For some reason I'm getting really bad aliasing when generating tours with PTP 2.0. Not sure what I'm doing differently, but it seems to have started with the latest update.

Please see attached image. Any help on how to correct this would be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Jeremy

Under Flash player or HTML5 player ?
Is it a full spherical panorama 360x180° or a partial panorama ?
Thanks.

Hi Benjamin,

Thank you for responding. That is a screen grab from the flash version. It is indeed a full spherical pano, 360 x 180. The exact dimensions are 14044 x 7022.

Thanks in advance for any help.

Kindly,

Jeremy

Hi !
I also have some problems with aliasing on hotspots images.
Some of them have text into a .png image. It's difficult to read the text until you zoom on the spot.
Is there anything I can do to improve this ?
See : http://www.aircamera.fr/visite_virtuelle/intersport/360.html
Thank you for your help !
Cyril

Hi, this problem is not linked to previous post. It's an hotspot image compression.
You can change values width/height of the spot to reach a more accurate size with a better lisibility and remove the "zoom" option of the spot.

I'm not sure...

When I open the same file with my browser ans resize the window until the picture hace the same size, it looks much better...

Yes but in this case it's not exactly the same size so the hotspot is "compressed" with a ratio with decimal values.

Look at theses tests (with zoom on left position / without zoom in right position) :

1. width + height = 0
Capture2.PNG

2. width = 200 + height = 0
Capture3.PNG

3. width = 300 + height = 0
Capture4.PNG

So better way can be to generate a little image size (not the actual 772 pixels width).
