well what is not working is the 'view last built tour' button. it does nothing. when i try and open the outputted .swf with a freeware viewer, it says 'missing image name in file'.
i (thought) i followed the video tutorial perfectly.
i had settled on panotour, as my fave' tours are made with it, smoothest panos i have seen. hopefully i can sort this out quickly.

many thanks.

Which version of PT/PTP re you using and on which OS?

If you are using PTP 1.8 then you must select one of the HTML template options.

The tour has to be loaded in PTP and to go through a Build process before this button will work.
................
PTP 2.0 beta 2 is available now - why not try that rather than 1.8?
