Question about the nadir patch and being able to remove it.
My question is how hard is it to remove the nadir logo from a virtual tour in PTP after it has been exported. Is it possible and how likely is it that someone who knows xml will be able to remove it if I put my company's bran on there?
Thanks everyone!

If you use a mode that embeds the nadir image in the pano then not that easy because of multi-res tiling.
They would have to edit many many tiles to get rid of your logo completely.

Ah - ok!
But in legal terms: when the client payed for the tour you have no legal demand for having your logo in the tour.
Except when it´s part of the conract.

For me the OTHER option to add a nadir patch is far better since you can add a url and it can easily be removed via the xml.....The graphic quality is better too. Personly, I feel that the nadir patch is a feature of great potentual... I would like to see an animation feature added... An animated add perpaps... but it would need to work on a Tablet etc as well, so not easy...

Octavias wrote:yeaaaap, @artisan, that's EXACTLY what I am worried about. But yea, i think that putting the nadir logo within the pano as a graphic in one layer, is the way to go.
Destiny which krpano xml encoder are you referring to?
Thanks

Clone the Logo into the bottom-cubeface. No way to get it out then - because nobody but you has the bottom face or the equi-image.
And if you did it multires there´s no way to re-construct it without an extreme effort - wich never would pay off for a thief.
That´s definitely the best way to protect your logo in the tour. Even Artisan with all his tools wouldn´t be able to delete it.

Or just flip a copy of the panorama and reduce it's height so it fits into the part that was not photographed...Mirrorball!

He wants HIS LOGO stay in the Nadir. And wants to avoid that somebody can delete it and put his own logo over it instead.

Thanks for all of your input and YES, as klauss so kindly pointed out. the problem is NOT in my perfect stich or anything. I want to have permanent mark for that one pano that i will give as a sample. And YES i do want my own logo there, without having a chance that it can be removed.
