Conversely, you should give us your feedback on the Panobook 2010: does it sells well, what does the pros who selected the panos think about the book, did you send it to peoples accustomed to evaluate this kind of books, like photo-magazines (e.g. Réponses Photo, Pop Photo) or web-sites (like Galerie-Photo, Panoguide, The Luminous Landscape) and are some book stores (like Acte Sud in Arles) or public libraries interested, etc...

Quelques remarques postées sur le forum Panophoto.org quelques heures après la réception du PanoBook 2010 : voir lien

Hello all, bonjour à tout le monde,
I received my pano book right in time for x-mas.
The impression is, that the book is worthy and is very agreeable to touch. It looks great in its sheath and is a good companion to the first edition, though a little smaller.
All in all, it is a best buy ;-)
Regards from Germany

idea for panobook 2011:
adding a DVD with offline pano tours of the participants

Oops, way late to this conversation.
Just wanted to add that I much prefer the hardcover of the 2009 Panobook to the softcover of the 2010 Panobook (though the sheath is very cool). Just my opinion!
Thanks,
Marc

Hmm, in preparation for submitting images for Panobook 2011 consideration, I spent more time going through Panobook 2009 and 2010. I must say that I really like being to easily 'flip' through the softcover of 2010. So I retract my statement about the hard cover. I like it either way.
I also just want to say that I think the books are laid out beautifully. Thanks to all of those who must have put a tremendous amount of work into producing a book of this quality.

Just submitted my 3 images for the panobook 2011... right before the deadline. I had a really hard time choosing my favourite 3, but hopefully one will resonate with the judges.

Erm. 19 July was a few days ago, but the site still says the contest is open. Any news?

As many of you were in holidays, and after several demands, we decided to close the contest on August 10.
So you still have a few days to participate or to modify the panoramas you sent.

10 days after the deadline, any news?

Hi Rami,
Do you think that Panobook 2011 will be ready for the winter holidays again this year? Last year it made for a good Christmas present, so my shopping was easy. ![]()
Thanks,

Hi MarcD, hi everyone,
We wanted to have a publisher for the Panobook 2011, this is why the project has been delayed. We now found a publisher and are still in talks. Unfortunately, the Panobook 2011 will not be available for Christmas, but probably on the beginning of 2011. We are sorry to miss Christmas, but having a publisher will be really great for the whole project, as the book won't be distributed only on our website but also at some local bookstores.
We'll keep you updated,

Hmm good news and bad news in the same time
Have you selected the images that will go into the pano book?
Offline
The selection should take place in November. This year, the jury will be composed of 3 photographers, including Jean-François O'Kane (Canada) and Harald Woeste (Germany, author of Panoramafotographie book).

Last news ? Publisher found ? Pano selection timing ? Publishing planning ?

The selection has been finished yesterday ( 150 images selected + 3 extras depending on the book layout ). I was once again amazed by the quality.
We are now finishing the heading, etc. Email to the selected panoramist will probably be sent soon.
