I noticed GLIB libglade warning in x-term 'trace level' log I'd not spotted previously which occured on selecting the About dialogue. Log terminates with a segmentation fault when I selected the File menu. Is it at all relevant?

The unknown property `program_name' error is normal, as GTK 2.10 does not have this property. But it is the same under Windows (I still use GTK 2.10; maybe time to upgrade...), and it does not crash. BTW, can you send me a screenshot of the help about dialog on your 770?
But there is still a bad warning when creating the main window (g_object_unref: assertion `G_IS_OBJECT (object)' failed), and this one is relevant... But I don't know what is causing this.
