I think Windows ME (Millenium Edition) does but not the same version:

So you can remove the gtk package provided with the Papywizard package, and install the correct one ; it should work.

It didn't work.
Fails at startup. There is no BT hardware in this PC.

It works fine for me... I'll investiagte (I may have forgotten a flag from my previous packaging tests).
I've just made a test on a real machine running XP (Pro), and it also works fine. Can you try to uninstall/reinstall it?
XP Pro with SP3.
1.4.0-1.
Have done this:
1. Rebooted system.
2. Uninstalled Papywizard via Control Panel/Add-Remove Programs.
3. Reinstalled paptywizard 1.4.0-1.
4. Run Ppaywizard - still no graphic display in Shooting.
5. Unistalled Papywizard via Programs/Papywizard/Uninstall.
6. Renistalled Papywizard 1.4.0-1.
7. Run Papywizard - still no graphic display in Shooting.
I always uninstall Papywizard before installing a new release and have never had problems before.

XP pro with SP3.
1.4.0-1.
Unistalled everything again, and removed the conf file by hand.
Rebooted the system.
Downloaded the installer again.
Installed again, and now it is working.
Perhaps removing the conf file was the key?
Perhaps the initial download got corrupted or something - but then you would think it would not install or run at all?
Could it have been because I tried to run 1.3.6-3 on this sytem?
Peculiar. Anyway it's working now.![]()

Ok, can you give it a try to this version:
http://www.gbiloba.org/download/tmp/Pap … nstall.exe
I upgraded my virtual XP to SP2, so the bluetooth stack should work.
When reporting problems, include Windows exact version, operation being tried and exact error message.

Windows XP (32-bit) with SP3. Papywizard 1.4.0-2.
Trying to Choose a BT connection in Hardware tab of Configure dialogue.
I don't have any BT hardware in-built or attached to this system so it was bound to fail one way or another (I have a USB BT adapter on order - should have it in a few days).
Anyway this looks much more promising than previous versions.
Here's the log and screen shot.

Bravo Frederic !
Claude,
Do you have built-in Bluetooth hardware or are you using an external Bluetooth adapter, if external which make/model?

Andrew, I'm using a USB adapter Trendnet TBW-104UB. Work fine under windows and linux.

Just curious - what was the key to getting BT to work with Windows version of Papywizard?
Offline
As I said, I just upgraded my virtual XP to SP2 (took me an hour, with those &*ù$£# Microsoft servers!).

Frederic, this is "built-in" BT adaptor from Broadcom (BCM2046).
I will try tommorow to "cut" it and to use another BT adaptator in a USB port ...

Papywizard 1.4.0-2 Windows 2000 Pro with SP4. Running on IBM Thinkpad T23.
Got my BT USB adapter today - one of these:
http://www.bluenext.co.uk/bluetooth-ada … ongle.html
It comes with IVT Bluesoleil V2.6.01 software which is claimed to work with Windows 2000, XP and Vista.
The adapter does not appear to work with Papywizard.
When I try set up BT connection in Configure using Choose I get this:
008-12-03 13:24:27,717::Spy::INFO::Starting Spy... 2008-12-03 13:24:27,717::Publisher::INFO::Starting Publisher... 2008-12-03 13:24:37,401::MainThread::INFO::Scanning available bluetooth devices... 2008-12-03 13:24:37,430::Dummy-5::EXCEPTION::refreshBluetoothList() Traceback (most recent call last): File "papywizard\controller\bluetoothChooserController.pyo", line 139, in refreshBluetoothList File "zipextimporter.pyo", line 82, in load_module File "bluetooth\__init__.pyo", line 11, in <module> File "zipextimporter.pyo", line 98, in load_module ImportError: MemoryLoadLibrary failed loading bluetooth\_msbt.pyd 2008-12-03 13:24:37,460::MainThread::ERROR::Can't scan bluetooth MemoryLoadLibrary failed loading bluetooth\_msbt.pyd

Strange... And what is the error message without the adapter plugged? This adapter may not work with the same Bluetooth stack as in Papywizard...
Offline
All BT Stacks don't work with Pybluez combined to Windows family, only Widcomm/Broadcomm and native Windows BT Stacks!
When installing the new BT, Andrew has installed "Bluesoleil" who isn't compatible !
Andrew must install Broadcomm (or Widcomm, Broadcomm has recently acquired Widcomm)
Link herafter http://www.broadcom.com/products/bluetooth_update.php
Andrew first you have to deinstall "Bluesoleil" then install Breadcomm
Remark to Frederic: Come back of "zipextimporter.pyo", this is like the Lochness Monster ! ![]()

Ithink the Bluesoleil software supplied with the Bluenext adapeter is not working properly on Windows 2000. Bluesoleil fails to load/run it claims to have written an error log but I can't find the file!
..............
Anyway now trying with Papywizard 1.4.0-2 on Windows XP with SP3.
Bluesoleil software 'sees' and recognises the Bluenext adapter - see screenshot.
Papywizard does not seem to - see screen shot.

Looks as if this adapter was not a good choice - a pity because it is tiny and just 'right' for my laptop because it allow me to plug in another USB device in neighbouring USB slot.
If that is the case how can a user determine in advance whether a particular BT-USB adapter will work with Papywizard (or not)?
