Hi,
Im relatively new to Autopano, great program but im havign difficulty rendering some panoramas.
I keep gettin the same message:
No more block freeable:
Not enough memory available
or too many threads used.
Emit:File"\\klmagecached.ccp"
line:690
Catched:RenderedFinalKic::Render
You said that in order to avoid said issue you need more RAM.
In the general settings tab Auto Pano sees that I have 4Gb of RAM, but allows me to use only 1.3 or 1.5 max, depending on what else have running.
Im running Into core2 Duo 2.13 Mhz with 4Gb of RAM and Win7 Ultimate.
Do i simply need to upgrade my hardware to render 150+ picture panoramas?
Also, I was also wondering if there was a way to get my GPUs to render the pano as well or at least help out in the process. I have 2 powerful gaming cards, but auto pano says they are not compatible. is there a way around this?
Any help you be much appreciated.
MANY THANKS

Hi!
I don´t know about Windows - but i know that GPU just speeds up the editor. Rendering is done without GPU support - but i´ts coming in a later version.
4GB of RAM with 150+ images seems a bit low to me. But most important is an external or internal fast extra drive for temp. This one big enough - about 300-500GB only used for temp should work with 4GB of RAM . . but i´m not sure.
best, Klaus

The case you are quoting is typical of a 4GB RAM computer but using a 32bits Operating system. This prevent us to use all this RAM.
If you can install windows 7 64bits, this will solve the issue.

i AM running windows 7 ultimate 64 bits.. thats why im so confused.
How do i get my 64 bit version of the program to detect all my RAM?
Could it be a system or BIOS setting or something?
Offline
no, that was probably the bug of the update manager in the software that was providing the 32bits version even if you had the 64bits version.
Just go to http://www.kolor.com, download session to get the version you need back.
Offline
No, once again thats not the issue, im running version 2.5.0 64 bits thats what it saysin the about tab, and i didnt update it yet.
Offline
You should upgrade to 2.5.1 because some fixed in memory manager have been done.
Then could you post the general tab screenshot so we can guess the issue ?
Offline
Thanks, where can i download the update,
I also noticed that the program freezes up as soon as it hits the Antighosting segment of the rendering process.
Here are the screenshots.

Hi
I have the same problem,
I run aotopano giga 2.5.0 x32 in Xp pack3 32bits 1g ram at pentium D 3.4Ghz
wana stitch 42 photos.
the sofeware calculated output size are 237 megapixels.
when I rendered out for TIFF format-16bits
it had errors..
I also keep getting the same message:
what: no more block freeable
not enough memory avaliable or too many threads used.
Emit:File"\\klmagecached.ccp"
line:690
Catched:RenderedFinalKic::Render
Is the problem of versions ?
how can I solve that?
thanks!!![]()

From what i saw, there is no way around it with a 32 bit system, u need to go x64.
I solved my problem by turning off Anti-ghosting and addign an extra gig of ram to my system, now i can render 300+ picture panorams with no problem whatsoever.
One thing i wish they did have was GPU rendering support for older VGA cards.
Anybody know a way to get 2 x-fire GF 7900 GT cards to help out with the rendering process?
Offline
Ya:D
I am trying turning off anti-ghosting, and it seems the solution for this problem.
but why? it is weried..@@
I find a man who stitched photos of gigapixels with Autopano Giga 64bit..
http://www.mobile01.com/topicdetail.php … 81&p=1
he stitiched more than 1000+ images...
If the numbers of photo were unlimited when hardware went to x64??
Offline
Not unlimited, but i guess its all down to raw prcessing power of your machine and hard drive speed etc.
I can get a maximum of about 100 images in full RAW from a 5D to stitch together with anti-ghosting. Anything over that expecially where there are floor/wall/roof tiles and patterns to maintain and it all gets a little too much for our systems.
your system and mine are very similar, i just mite have a little more RAM while you have a slightly faster processor. i roccomend gettin more RAM, its the quickest and easiest fix.
Also get the latest version, and under the settings tab it will tell you the limitations you will encounter while using any particular machine.
Best of luck!

so, could autopan giga stitch images likes "http://www.gigapan.org/"?
Offline
Look this, which software could stitch this huge photo?
that's amazing!!
could autopano giga do that?
Does the number of images stitched depending on hardware?
I have a little bit of questions.
thanks a lot!!![]()

asyou can see from the specs of his computer
PC 備配: Intel i5 760 , 8GB RAM
stitch完成的的檔案大小: 80GB ~ 85GB
he has a very mowerfull system, overall the amount of images you can process well depends on power of your system.
The dresden panorama, that was processed for almost 100 hrs (!!!!!) with a very very powerfull computer, it was a Mac Pro with 16 processors or at least 32 cores and abt 48 GB or RAM.. so yes.. the only limitation is the computer. Also those panoramas were taken with a mechanized tripod that rotated the camera a certain number of degrees with 100% accuracy to make stitching as easy as possible.
The faster and morepowerful the computer the more u can do with panoramas.
Soon there will be a new generation of processors and RAM that will be almost 20x faster

FYI : all the big gigapixels above 20 gigapixels were done by autopano giga, even the biggest one on gigapan.org.
Offline
Yup,
AutoPano is still the best and most powerfull program out there once u have the right hardware.
Offline
hmm..
autopano giga is friendly to use:D
so...
the hardware level is the most probable reason that caused out my errors?

Yes. Current versions of APP/APG really prefer a 64-bit OS (such as Windows 7 64-bit) and a lot of RAM (8GB or more).
Your 1GB RAM (less than min. spec for latest version which is 2GB) and Windows XP 32-bit OS is just 'not enough' to handle your panos.
So upgrade (or replace) your system if possible. If upgrading then add more RAM as a priority but be aware that Window XP 32-bit cannot make any use of more than 4GB and only a portion of that will be available to programs. You need a 64-bit OS to make use of more RAM than that.
Until then you might try using V.2.0.9 which you can download from here:

Just to clear some of the confusion and conflicting info in previous posts:
THERE IS NO GPU-ASSISED RENDERING IN AUTOPANO! ![]()
Currently, the GPU is used only for speeding up the Panorama Editor, but NOT the rendering process.

When can we expect to see this feature, IF ever...?

thanks a lot!
I had finished my panoramas just a moment.
used the way that turning off anti-ghosting that recommended by"discordian13"
, and than successful!?@@
but why I just turned off anti-ghosting and than made rendering all right?
I stitched more than 40 images.
I am a new recruit in this field.
by the way, I rendered out for TIFF format, it's amazing huge>.<
The original 42 jpg images just occupied 198MB, but why finally TIFF format took up more than 900MB???
is this condition normally ??

on exporting/saving pano you can specify compression off or different algorythms to use... did you choose off?
Georg

I know that but if I compression off the image size, the quality of pano will decrease, isn't it?
