IE11 Problem

by NNEDK » Tue Apr 04, 2017 4:44 am

Hi there

This is my first post, hope it the right place, I have created a tour and have given it to the IT department so that they can host the presentation, and send me a link so that I can post it on the companies Intranet for our employees to see.
I got the reply that we can get it to Run in Chrome, but not IE11. Our companies standard browser is IE 11, so basically 6ooo people cant see this and 5 can.

is there anyone who may have a reason as to why a tour would run in chrome and not IE11 ?

It runs fine in my IE11 when I run it as a test direct from panotour pro GUI.

Hope someone can help
Kind regards

Hello and welcome to the forum,

What exactly happens when you try to view it on IE11? An error message?
How are you viewing the tour? Is it online? Offline?

To view a virtual tour locally it needs to be viewed through a webserver (like the view last built tour button in Panotour), have your IT department set one up?

Hi Annis

Thanks for getting in touch. Appreciate it.
I basically get a black screen with my floor plan in the corner. with an error box at the bottom of the screen.
If I hit a hot spot on the floorplan I get an error box appearing again with a pile of errors.
(See attachment)

The tour is not online. It is for our closed Intranet.
But I guess that is online is a way ?
Our organisation is huge 6000plus and the standard browser is IE11 so I need it t

Problem is I have to relate this forward to out IT guys, and I know nothing about html code
i just to the grahics and paste it together in Panopour.... any code is beyond me ;-)

Hm.
Well yes hosting online is one solution, you can password-protect the page from the server (if you do, don't forget to build your tour with the checkbox The tour will be hosted on a website protected by credentials!).

It's strange that that link would work on one browser and not another, it must have something to do with the configuration of the server though unfortunately I can't really help with that point.

Actually, could you try checking the checkbox I mentioned above and updating your tour?
It might help, certain browsers are more permissive with accesses than others.

Some feed back here
Annis' suggestion on checking the "The tour will be hosted on a website protected by credentials" Worked

Our orgainsiation has IE11 as its standard browser and is heavily taliored for the corporation. The IT guy could get it to work on Chrome due to it not being tamper with and was a standard installation.

So all in all using this setting on the Build of the tour helped
Thanks for the support Annis :-)
