Videos in Panotour Viewer

by duotone » Tue Aug 16, 2016 1:31 pm

When will your panotour viewer allow 360 videos, or videos in general?

I'm sorry, but this doesn't make sense that your app won't play your 360 videos!

PTV is a very basic tool for testing tours locally, it is very limited, with little to no development planned for it.
It isn't a commercial tool.

Videos aren't supported in iOS on PTV, 360° videos are very heavy videos, especially if they are long so they'll take too long to decompress to be viewed so the browser will interpret that as a missing file or non-responsive.
Also, PTViewer uses the native browser (not default browser, native, generally an app called "internet") which isn't as efficient as your usual browsers.

For viewing a tour offline on mobile, you have to create your own app.
