[SUGGESTION] Project sheet

by Twan » Wed Apr 16, 2014 1:30 pm

Would it be an idea to have an option for creating a complete project overview?
At this moment we document all relevant parameters ourselves.
Having the option of creating a pdf with every parameter, file location, dates, names, etc would be a time saver.

This pdf should include the project parameters for stitching and tour building.

Regards,

Twan

What did you mean by 'file location'?

Weer you aware that File/Save project (extended) as... will consolidate all tour resources in one place?

Yes I am aware of that, but sometimes you have to go back to the raw pictures, logo files, etc.
Basically that would be your live raft in case of failure/corruption of a project file location.
It is also handy for working with different file versions.
For us the consolidate tour resources are not a source for rebuilding.

Errr... why not? The consolidated files are (the same as) those used to create the tour.

I should have said "a reliable source for rebuilding".
It is not that the save option is insufficient but more seen from an it point of view that valuable data should not be located in one place.
We have mechanisms in place for backup and disaster recovery involving more than one server and more than one location.
Everything that helps keeping track of files and file versions is most welcome.
