Panotour et Facebook

by eric_5dmk2 » Fri Jun 27, 2014 9:21 am

What does your client hope to end up seeing on his Facebook page?

my client would like a virtual tour embedded in his FB page (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IayughHGCEg I've tried this solution but it didn't work)

I tried using Woobox custom tab page too.

https://woobox.com/statichtml

In theory this should be able to display a tour in the iframe created by the app; settings shown in screenshot.

For me, it displays the title of the tour but that's all.

Image

many something to do with security options with the *.xml file (hint given on panophoto.org)
I've contacted KRpano support team but no solution from them.

I'm really not familiar with *.xml

Inisde the data folder, I have several *.xml files (core, skin, messages_en).
Which one should I check?

That is from Garden Gnome software. They have a template now for social media. I don't understand it but asked Kolor a little while ago and they said that they didn't have plans for this. Sad guys. We users have to keep up and Social is a must. I post their social link in FB and get an error. Product is NOT COMPLETE....

Sorry, I didn't understand. Kolor posted an address to an example with code but that hardly makes things easier for us users. After creating the tour, I must then go back and MANUALLY edit code which, ok, is an answer but a POOR answer. This should be an automated function. My tours are still crashing. Often the crash reports aren't even generating. So if anyone is watching this, I am not the only one guys and gals. You have had a long time to deal with this and many people have given feed back. The social media should have been much more refined. It is what it is I guess. I tried their other products and have not purchased because they crashed. Very frustrating....

Yes Aaron. This feature will be integrated in a future release with specific template injections. But we have to change some differents things to be able to inject host + path of the visit with http or https protocol into the build screen.

Will it be an update? Or will we have to pay for a new system?

Will be updated into a future release, but your can make your own html template into your user directory for your project with the facebook needed tags.

To do it copy the fullpage or generic html template of the Edit > Open template system directories and place it into your panotour html template user directory.
Then update it to add needed facebook tags.

Bonjour Paul;
