Hello,

When building a tour the program crashes, it was previously made in 2.3.2 and now we are using 2.5.9, this did build once, it has only recently it has stopped working.

We tried clearing the cache file for the project and built it in a new location however this did not help. I also noticed it stopped on a particular pano but removing this made no difference.

Crash report was submitted with the Email: Ryan.spooner@arup.com

Any help is greatly appreciated

The crash occurs in an Intel library managing data compression when allocating the needed space to read your images.

What you can do is to change the temporary directory set for Panotour Pro or to clear/empty the current one.
And of course verify that you have enough disk space available on your machine.

If working with an empty temporary directory does not fix the issue, then try to change the memory settings of Panotour Pro :

PS:
And you should also very that the driver of your graphical card is up-to-date

Hi,

We have assessed our save location and checked the settings (please see attached screen shot). The temporary directory was changed and made sure we had enough space, also we have made sure there is enough memory. We have also checked the graphics card driver is up to date and unfortunately we are still getting the crash.

We have submitted another crash report.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

Regards

Can you try a new build after :
1/ Removing the temporary directory : c:\Users\Joel.smith\temp
2/ Reduce the Memory Used slider by half

Morning,

Im afraid this has been unsuccessful, we lowered the memory used, removed the temporary folder and have also updated the software to 2.5.12.

Another crash report has been sent.

Many thanks

Does it occurs only on saved projects ?

Do you have the same crash on a newly created project ?

Where are the sources files of your project ?
Are they on an external drive ?
On a network drive ?
On a local drive ?

It seems to only be this project, which is a saved project.

I have tried building a tour in an old project and a new, both work fine.

The files are saved on a network drive, external to the PC

Many thanks

Do you need special credential to access this network drive ?

If you select a scene in Panotour Pro, and then click on "load full resolution" button in the hotspot editor, do you still have a crash during the build ?

Yes, the access is based on a company log in.

Pressing the 'load full resolution' doesn't crash it, however building it does.

Kind regards

Hi,

I downloaded your data, and buit the tour.
I re-built it 5 times since, without any crash .

I did it with each scenes in the cache and even if some scenes needed to be reloaded.

1/ As your resources are on a network drive, do you have the possibility to run the build on a machine with more memory ?
2/ Is your project file and the database file on the network drive too ?
If yes, do you have the possibility to set the kpt file on a local drive of your machine ?
The first build will re-build all the scenes, and create a new .cache file on the local drive .
Then does the next build crash too ?
