URLs as Menu Items

by Trevr62 » Fri Jun 15, 2018 11:06 pm

Hey

I have multiple Virtual Tours on line and I'd like to create a new tour where the user can select each tour via a menu. So, basically I want to use URLs as menu items. Is this possible?

Thanks
Trevor.

It's not possible directly from Panotour Pro interface .

But it can be done, with some modifications of the generated code .

If you add a "Panorama Menu" in your tour, and then edit the "xxx_skin.xml" file, you'll see that the panorama menu has a quite basic XML description.
You'll "just" have to replace the image used as thumbnail of each item by the thumbnail you want for each linked tour, and change the action done on click by an "open url" one.

For example, here is what you can find in your skin file :

Code: Select all
                  <item name="group_1_item_1"
                     action="invokeKrFunction('mainloadscene', 'pano1271')"
                        titleID="pano1271_title"
                        thumbnail="indexdata/_1345768902_rnmxl6p1__1271/thumbnail.jpg"
                     cssClass="pano1271">

And here is how you cna change the code :

Code: Select all
                  <item name="group_1_item_1"
                     action="invokeKrFunction('openurl', 'http://www.mydomain.com/mypath/mytour.html')"
                        titleID="pano1271_title"
                        thumbnail="mytourthumbnail.jpg"
                     cssClass="pano1271">
