While it is not possible using only PTP's GUI features, data storage and retrieval from external sources can be integrated thanks to its plugin system and the generated XML output being open for customization and extension.

Following is a link to a short clip demonstrating a Heatmap creation and presentation solution recently implemented, data storage and retrieval in this case is done using a MySQL database.

In data collection mode the users' views are stored as hits per location, and in presentation mode the different hitranges get displayed using colored hotspots that are automatically created, there is no external visualization toolkit involved. Several filters can be applied through modified versions of the new combobox plugin.
