Play button iOS vs Android

by dmoath » Thu Sep 21, 2017 12:28 am

Hello,

We have this panorama:

http://images.lun.com/lunservercontents ... anque.html

If you look at it in Chrome inspector with an Android device selected, it displays a "Play" button and the video paused.

Image

But if you select iOS, the "Play" button is not displayed (and the video won't start automatically either on a Real device).

Image

We need a way to display the "Play" button in both iOS and Android, not just Android, I think somewhere in the code there's an exception for iOS that hides the Play button, but we actually need it so users know they have to press that button in order to see the video since it doesn't start automatically.

Do you think it's possible?

Thanks.

Apparently this only is an issue on iOS 10+.

Edit yourtour.xml and youtour_vr.xml and remove any instance of this line: AND scene[get(xml.scene)].hasiphonesound.

A bug report has been made, thank you.

Hello Annis,

Thanks for your reply, it worked, problem is i can't ask the people producing the Panoramas to edit those xml files every time, is there any way to fix this at the source? maybe editing the base xml used by the app? We are using Panotour Pro 2.5.8 64-bit. Thanks.

It should be fixed in the next version but there's no way to patch that out in the current software version, the only option is to edit the xml.
