strange black line in the tour with gyroscope

by gcg1992 » Fri Mar 03, 2017 11:30 am

Hi,

I find a strange problem when viewing the panorama with gyroscope turned on on my iPhone, there is a black line in my screen. However, I restricted the horizontal view of the 360 panorama and I regard this as the cause of my problem. And I hope this problem can be addressed. Thanks.

Kind Regards,
Chenguang

Having the gyroscope enabled overrides any virtual cropping of your panorama, so if you are missing that piece of your panorama it will be visible on mobile with the gyroscope.

Or is your panorama actually a full 360?
Can you share the link to the tour?

Hi Annis,

I used a 360 panorama, but cropped the left and right side by changing the input field of view from 360 to 359. I haven't yet publish the tour, but I hope even a non-360 panorama can take advantage of gyroscope.

So you've turned your 360 panorama into a partial one to be able to crop it on the left and right crops, did you then set it back to 360 afterwards?

If you didn't, the line is normal, since you've just told that both ends of your panorama don't meet, hence the empty space/black line.

And as I said, the gyroscope overrides the virtual crop so seeing that black line is normal.

Thank you Annis, I forgot to set the value back to 360 after cropping. Your hint solves my problem, great!
