Web Content Spot works offline, but not online??

by vitodivita » Thu Feb 16, 2017 11:05 pm

Help please. Embedded a web page into a tour I'm doing, and it works fine offline both in Preview in Panotour as well as going to the HTML file. Online, none of the pages load, they are black. What am I doing wrong??

Hi... You probably need to provide the full url.... Online it will find it but off line it will not have clue where it is.... Unless you provide the full url address...

Same issue
Here's the tour in question. Pan over to the left you'll see black box..

How is the URL incorrect? Works offline fine? I've seen what it does when URL is wrong (black box). But in this case its saying all of them are wrong

Well.. with the index.html the url is now complete, but still will not display in a Tour.. It might be a permissions thing.. Where you have uploaded the car, right mouse on the folder and check to make sure it has all the read and rights ticked.

http://www.360ext.com/cas17/acuramdxext/index.html

Other than that.. I do no know.. The car will not open in a website box either.. So I would suggest it might have something to do with permissions. The server will not allow you access to it..

All permissions look fine. We use this server daily to no issue.

I can't even explain it, but all I did was change the URL to my website 360revo.com, and then changed it back, and now all the web content spots are working…. Thank you?!

I'm noticing this doesn't work on iOS? Is this only a desktop based feature?

I don't know. I would have that thought it would still work with iOS.. It looks like you have used Object2VR to rotate the car.. Did you save as a html5.. Does this work in iOS.. http://www.destinyvirtualtours.com/Obje ... gClip.html

Yes that loaded fine. We use Object2VR daily, it always works on the mobile devices for us, but in this particular tour, it doesn't even load. The code in the XML says HTML5.noIOS, is it saying it won't show on iOS?

The issue is the http/https conflict. Your website is in https, the website you are trying to display in an iFrame is http which is considered a security issue and as such is blocked by the browser.

This conflict can also happen in the opposite situation (https displayed on http).

That fixed it on the desktop.

I am still getting blank on the iOS devices. I put in a plain website and it still doesn't appear.

In your link I'm still seeing the http/https concurrency, Did you update the tour?

I'll put the tour on my other server, since 360revo.com is an https: domain. Are you saying this is the reason it won't work on mobile? Because desktop works fine.

Having a https is a security feature.... Websites like Google cannot be viewed using Website Box and I think iFrames too... https://www.google.com.au

Your web page seems to be working my end.. You might need to empty your cache folder.....

Works as it should on desktop, but not on mobile devices. Nothing shows, not even a black box

If you have issues with Object2VR, you might want to take a look at Zoomify.. Here is a link to a car but I made far too many images. I should have cut it down to a max of 36, but here there are 100. Makes loading a bit slow..

http://members.westnet.com.au/dps/360Ob ... Car360.htm

There are others too.. I for some reason, have some issues with Object2VR.. Locally it works fine but remotely I have issues.. Today, my skin images are missing. I have used it OK in the past.. I edited the code to provide a full url but its still did not work. I tried using Chrome but same issues. There is no real reason why this should be happening. i will find an older project and test it..

Its easy enough to make some buttons skins for Object2VR, which is a good job too since the default ones are mostly yuck.. The set you are using is the only one that I feel look decent..
